A website is great for commercial exposure. Consumers/potential clients like to visit a site to learn more about you or more detail about your product. A service site like for a painter, plumber or electrician can show pictures (before/after), fees, display your experience and pertinent contact information. A restaurant's site can show days/hours of operation, location and menus. Studies have shown during this 'internet' age interested consumers will look at products, services and reviews of both products and business' on the web before taking the next step! A well conceived website can immediately give you credibility.
Sites can also be very personal. You could create a family site where many can contribute photos, stories and history. A special event to remember like a wedding, anniversary or birthday can grow into a beautiful site where all can visit and revisit special times. A remembrance site to visit a loved one and revisit past photos, videos and stories celebrating their existence and ongoing memory.
Sites can be for communicating with your friends and family, including your social networking and career aspirations. A site or portion of a site dedicated to your life experience, schooling, degrees and work experience could also be beneficial.
